Samplingvalvebasicallysupportsthediscretevolumesofthetreatedsamplesstreamtoperiodicallyinjectintothecarriergasstreamofthechromatograph.Samplingvalvesarefittedwithelectricorpneumaticactuatorswhichhelpthemtobeoperatedautomatically.Switchingvalvearecriticalifbinarypumpsareused.Itallowsemploymentofdifferentdesiredmobilephases.Switchingvalveconsistsoffiveparts:controlunit,connectingdevice,valvebody,arotorandpreloadedassembly.
