Description:
General description
Ion chromatography (IC) is a method of analyzing inorganic and organic ions using an HPLC system in which charged species are separated on a anion or cation exchange column and detected by a conductivity detector. In many cases IC has superseded conventional wet chemistry methods such as titration, photometry, gravimetry, and colorimetry.
TSKgel® IC-Cation SW is a high performance ion chromatography column used without a suppression system. Typical applications include the analysis of transition metal ions, such as Fe, Cu, Ni, Zn, Mn, etc. using ethylene-diamine/citric acid or ethylene-diamine/tartaric acid as eluent, and the analysis of amine compounds which have a strong hydrophobic group such as R4N+or R3N, in which R is an alkyl group such as butyl, octyl, etc., using aq. nitric acid/acetonitrile as eluent.
