Preparation Note
The PT sample is suitable for analysis for the 16 CA TCLP metals plus Mercury. A total sample size of 225 g is provided.
The PT sample has been sterilized.
Recommended storage condition is 4º C, but this sample has been determined to be stable if stored a room temperature.
The evaluation of results will be based on study statistics for equivilent methods. At least two analytes are above the regulatory limit.
Some analytes may not be present at recoverable levels. If an analyte is below your detection limit report a less than “<” and your detection limit or “0”.
Sample Preparation
Extraction Procedure:Thoroughly mix the sample and extract using the California WET as specified in section 66261, appendix II.
Prepare the extract for metals analysis by using the appropriate digestion procedure for the analysis technique selected. T
he sample may be analyzed by any combination of inductively coupled plasma (ICP) and atomic absorption (AA) methods.
On the provided report form please provide all of the requested information.
Digestion Procedures:Prepare the TCLP extracts for metals analysis using the methods for which you are seeking accreditation.
There is sufficient TCLP extract to perform all digestions.
If a sample digestate contains particulates that may clog your instrument, remove them by filtration, or by centrifugation (see appropriate method for guidance).
Analyze the digestate solutions using the appropriate determinative methods for which you are seeking accreditation.
